Becky G’s makeup brand has been around for a year.
The pop star posted on Instagram on Wednesday to celebrate the first anniversary of her Tresluce Beauty cosmetics line. Becky G started the brand as a way to honour her Latino roots. The name comes from the Spanish words for “three” and “lucir,” which roughly means “to look good.”
The pop star stated in the post that Tresluce was created to support the Latino community in the beauty industry. With a warm invitation to those outside of our community to learn more about us, it was created by Latinx artists from around the world and was inspired by Latinx cultures. This brand is about us, not just me.”
Becky G went on to thank her team and the people who have helped her think of ideas for her makeup brand and connect with her culture.

“I’d also like to thank my grandparents for teaching me to love, care about, and respect my roots, as well as the importance of hard work and dedication,” she wrote. “And thank you, last but not least, to you guys! The Tresluce family keeps getting bigger, and I couldn’t be more thankful.”
On its Instagram page, Tresluce Beauty is also holding a giveaway to celebrate the brand’s anniversary.
Becky G’s first products for Tresluce Beauty were eye shadow palettes, eyeliners, makeup brushes, and false eyelashes for the eyes.
The Mexican artist Monica Loya made the packaging. She was inspired by Talavera pottery, which is made in the Mexican city of Puebla.
Becky G and Madeby Collective worked together to make the brand. Since then, the brand has grown and now has products for the face and lips.
